Election of the President of Senate

Mr. President pro tempore,
ich beantrage hiermit gem. Sec. 5 Ssec. 3 No. 3 Standing Rules of Congress eine Neuwahl des Senatspräsidenten.

Senator McQueens Eignung steht außer Frage. jedoch fiel mir ein demokratischer Makel auf.
Bei der letzten Wahl wurde Senator McQueen von nur zwei Senatoren gewählt, von denen einer nicht mehr Mitglied des Senates ist.
Um dem Senat einen Präsidenten mit breiter demokratischer Legitimation zu geben, ersuche ich daher die Senatoren, diesen Antrag zu unterstützen.
