Honorable Members of Congress:

Nach der Konstituierung des Repräsentantenhauses werden,
gem. Sec. 11a der Standing Rules,
die Vorsitzenden der ständigen Ausschüsse des Kongresses gewählt.

Der Senat hat
1. Rep. David J. Clark zum Chairman of the Committee on Commerce
2. Rep. Mosby M. Parsons zum Chairman of the Comittee on Defense
3. Sen. Amrian Dali Abzianidze zum Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs
gewählt.

Bei der Wahl zum Chairman of the Committee on Justice konnte kein Ergebnis erzielt werden.

Das Repräsentantenhaus hat
1. Rep. David J. Clark zum Chairman of the Committee on Commerce
2. Rep. Mosby M. Parsons zum Chairman of the Comittee on Defense
3. Sen. Daryll K. Sanderson zum Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs
gewählt.
4. Sen. Wesley M. Martin zum Chairman of the Committee on Justice
gewählt.

Gemäß Section 11a der standing Rules of Congress erfordert die Wahl die Zustimmung beider Kammern in getrennter Abstimmung.
Entsprechend dieser Bestimmung wurden gewählt:

1. Rep. David J. Clark zum Chairman of the Committee on Commerce
2. Rep. Mosby M. Parsons zum Chairman of the Comittee on Defense

Gemäß Section 11a, Subsection 3b findet in beiden Kammern nun eine Stichwahl zum Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs zwischen Sen. Sanderson und Sen. Abzianidze statt, die in Kürze eingeleitet wird.
Gemäß Section 11a, Subsection 3c bleibt das Amt des Chairman of the Committee on Justice vakant.
