Nicht die Position wird abgelehnt, sondern ein vermeintlicher ungeeigneter Kandidat für ein solches Amt. Leider hat Mr. Santala bei seinen jüngeren Auftritt alles dafür getan, dass die Senatoren ein eher unvorteilhaftes Bild von ihm erhalten. Am Ende des Tages liegt die Entscheidung aber bei den Senatoren.

Das werden die Senatoren zu beurteilen haben. Bislang gibt es aber wenig Anhaltspunkte. Congressman Santala ist bislang nur öffentlich in Erscheinung getreten, als er daran gescheitert ist, ein anerkanntes juritisches Prinzip zu definieren, und als er ein vermutlich verfassungswidriges Amendment angeregt hat. Ansonsten weiß die Öffentlichkeit wenig über Congressman Santala, außer, dass seine Arbeitsmoral nicht unbedingt die Beste ist. Jemanden, der immer mal wieder für Wochen untertaucht, möchte wohl niemand als möglichen Präsidenten sehen.

Begrüßenswert, dass der Komgress ausdrücklich nicht Abnickbude sein will. Es wurde Schaden von Astor abgewendet. Die Präsidentin sollte ernsthaft darüber nachdenken, ob sie noch eine ausreichende Grundlage für ihre Arbeit hat.
