Jemand, der mit einem Heißluftballon unterwegs ist und sich verirrt hat, möchte wissen, wo er sich den nun befindet. Er sieht von oben jemanden auf einem Feld stehen und lässt heiße Luft ab, um ihn Fragen zu können, wo er nun sei.
Ballonfahrer: "Können Sie mir sagen, wo ich bin?"
Nach einiger Zeit kommt die Antwort zurück: "In der Gondel eines Heißluftballons."
Ballonfahrer ruft zurück: "Sie sind sicher ein Mathematiker. Erstens hat es etwas gedauert, bis die Antwort kam, zweitens ist die Antwort vollkommen richtig und drittens kann ich mit der Antwort überhaupt nichts anfangen. Fakt ist, dass sie keine Hilfe waren."
Darauf der Mathematiker: "Und Sie sind gewiss ein Manager. Erstens wissen sie weder, wo sie sind noch wohin sie fahren, zweitens sind Sie aufgrund einer großen Menge heißer Luft in Ihre jetzige Position gekommen und drittens erwarten Sie von den Leuten unter Ihnen, dass sie Ihre Probleme lösen. Tatsache ist, dass Sie in exakt der gleichen Lage sind wie vor unserem Treffen, aber jetzt bin irgendwie ich schuld." Quelle
