Wobei sich Faust I bei weitem angenehmer liest als II. Wer es nicht lesen will: Es gibt auch tolle Verfilmungen. ;)
Wie auch bei Hamlet und McBeth ... nur das Parfum war enttäuschend, obwohl Dustin Hoffman und Ben Wishaw toll waren. Aber die Gesamtgeschichte, dass er das Mirabellenmädchen geliebt haben könnte, war einfach nur peinlich ... und auch, dass er das Fehlen seines eigenen Geruches erst so spät bemerkte ... und dass jeder gleich, nachdem er aus den Augen Jean-Baptistes verschwand gleich sterben musste ... :rolleyes

Was sich auch toll liest, sind Sagen des klassischen Altertums von Gustav Schwab. Das Deutsch von 1838-40 ist anfangs gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber wenn man einmal drin ist, ist diese Sprache so viel klangvoller, bildhafter und einfach nur köstlich.
